It’s always an honour for products and projects to receive due recognition within the industry and beyond. And, for Hamilton Litestat, reaching the finals in this year’s HotelDesigns.net Brit List Awards is no exception.

With three entries across two categories making the finals, along with 137 other products, projects and hotel design and hospitality industry businesses, it’s safe to say we’ve got some stiff competition.

Celebrating hotel design for five fabulous years

Championing the innovators and game changers within the hotel design industry for the last half-decade, this year’s awards ceremony takes place on 2nd November 2022 at PROUD Embankment in London.

Hamilton’s final line up

With a total of nine categories to choose from and two that fitted the bill perfectly for Hamilton, we are over the moon to have been selected by the panel of judges as a finalist in both categories we were nominated for – and in one of which, two entries made the final cut!

Category: Best in British Product Design

Hamilton’s two entries reaching the finals in the Best in British Product Design category, along with 21 other hopefuls are our NEW Linea-Tetra CFX plate design, together with the bespoke design & production by Hamilton in the renovation of Thornbury Castle Hotel.

The NEW Linea-Tetra CFX is the latest design addition to our Linea CFX range, which allows different frame designs to be mixed and matched with a variety of plate finishes – utilising Hamilton’s patented two-part plate and frame design with concealed fixing (CFX) system. The Linea-Tetra CFX frame provides a sharp, raised relief appearance with its stylish 45bevelled edge – a contrast with other frame designs in the range.

The renovation of Thornbury Castle Hotel, saw Hamilton’s design team working closely with the project’s architect and electrical contractor to develop custom plate designs to compliment the historic architectural and interior design, while meeting the needs of the contemporary guest and satisfying the demands of Historic England to ensure the fabric of this historic building was preserved.

Category: Best in Tech Award

Selected as one of six finalists in the Brit List Best in Tech Award 2022, Hamilton’s participation in the Thornbury Castle Hotel renovation project captured the attention of judges for our ingenious integration of contemporary tech solutions in this Grade 1 listed landmark hotel. These included custom plate designs incorporating toggle switches to compliment the period décor, USB charging sockets to meet the needs of the modern guest, and the integration of Casambi Wireless Control modules within plates to facilitate mood lighting on entry and automatic switch-off of all lighting on exit in guest bedrooms and communal areas among other innovations.

Wish us luck on 2nd November!

As well as the winner of each of the nine categories being announced – of which it would be fabulous if Hamilton were to be just one, The Brit List 2022, will also be unveiled. This publication profiles the top 25 designers, architects and hoteliers identified within this year’s entries, so we’re looking forward to seeing just who has made the cream of the crop.
