Hamilton makes Finals of 2019 Electrical Wholesaler Awards - Best Training Provider.

Hamilton has been named as one of just three finalists in the hotly-contested category of ‘Best Training Provider’ at the 2019 Electrical Wholesaler Awards. Thanks to its dedication to providing training across the industry, the family-run electrical solutions provider has been shortlisted for the sought-after accolade, which will be voted by the electrical wholesaler community, with the winner to be announced at a Gala Dinner at The Tower Hilton Hotel, London on 9th May.

EWAwards_FINALIST“It’s an honour to reach the final three contenders in this competitive category,” said Gavin Williams, Hamilton’s Head of Marketing. “An Electrical Wholesaler Award is a highly-regarded mark of praise voted by the industry and we’re delighted to have come this far. We’ve dedicated significant resource and attention to our training programmes in recent years and they have skyrocketed in popularity, helping to educate and broaden business opportunities. We’re extremely grateful to get this far in the Electrical Wholesaler Awards and hope to receive the support of the wholesaler community during the voting process.”

A smart move: Hamilton, which is a new member of CEDIA, the international trade organisation for the home technology sector, has developed specific training programmes to support increased awareness and education in smart controls. This growing area of the industry offers huge potential and Hamilton has committed to raising awareness and confidence amongst both new and experienced installers to increase business and therefore sales of these products through the wholesaler network. Hamilton’s training courses haven proven so popular that demand has necessitated an increase from one to four training sessions a month at its newly refurbished facilities in Mere. April's training sessions are now fully booked but there are a few places left for May; email technical@hamilton-litestat.com to book your place.

WestHertsStudents_webNurture the future: Alongside, Hamilton is also targeting the next generation of qualified electricians and installers to help curb the industry skills shortage and support the next wave of ‘smart’ electricians. The British business has entered into a new partnership with SPARKS this year, participating in three regional ‘Meet the Lecturer’ events during January and February that received a fantastic response. These focused events allowed Hamilton to engage with those teaching young apprentices and further the reach of its support and education around smart controls. Hamilton is also providing smart control training aids to facilities such as West Herts College, Langley, and has committed to supporting the 2019 intake of over 90 trainees at the college.

Voting for the Electrical Wholesaler Awards is now closed but we'd like to tanks all who have shown their support for us over recent weeks!
