Product sourcing made even easier...

New product configurator creates quick and easy project visuals and specification datasheets

Hamilton Litestat has launched its redesigned website, developed to deliver an upgraded user experience. A new, intuitive visual product configurator has been created to better support contractors when specifying projects, enabling easy product sourcing and download of product datasheets.

The simple to navigate website showcases Hamilton’s vast range of decorative wiring accessories, along with its Smart Lighting Control and Wireless Audio solutions. It also provides more information on Hamilton’s bespoke plate design service and the colour-matching possibilities available with its on-trend Paintables service.

Specification of products is a time-consuming process; especially when there are so many plate designs and configurations to choose from. Hamilton’s new visual product configurator simplifies this by providing both visuals and product datasheets in just a few clicks.

Each of Hamilton’s designer wiring accessory collections has a dedicated homepage, from the ever-popular Hartland and Sheer ranges to the industrial-styled Metalclad collection. Browse through, selecting the preferred design, then choose from the different product types, for example rocker switches, power sockets, USB chargers or dimmer switches.

Visitors can then view and specify the unique plate configuration of their choosing, including plate finish, frame finish, insert colour, and number of gangs. When the correct solution is chosen, the configurator automatically generates a bespoke product technical datasheet that is required when specifying a project and can be downloaded at the click of a button.

Importantly, Hamilton’s product information and datasheets adhere to European Technical Information Model (ETIM) standards to deliver globally consistent product technical information. This removes any ambiguity and makes it easier for all those working in the electricals industry and supply chain to specify products.

The datasheet features a visual representation of the product that can be shown to end customers to quickly and simply sign-off product choices. And, when specifying for a large project, multiple datasheets can be saved to a ‘Favourites’ folder and downloaded upon completion to be inserted into a project proposal.

“We’ve put a lot of thought into evolving the form and function of the site to ensure it is intuitive and that it performs for our contractor customers, meeting their day-to-day requirements,” says Gavin Williams, Hamilton’s Sales & Marketing Director. “The visual product configurator makes a potentially complicated task much easier, and we hope that our customers find that new offering a rewarding and time-saving experience.”

The site’s ‘Quick Search’ function also enables visitors to immediately find solutions in a particular plate finish or with a specific function.

Alongside the new functionality, the site also retains popular and useful features:
